Time to celebrate! Quick-Serve Pizza concepts are rejoicing today after the NFL finally reached an agreement on Monday. The season has been saved and more importantly to many of River’s Edge PM’s clients – THE SEASON HAS BEEN SAVED!
Concepts such as Yum Brands Inc’s, Pizza Hut, normally see a 15%-25% increase in sales on NFL football Sundays, says Annie Gasparro in her recent MarketWatch article. That is a tremendous boost and one that many (if not all) franchisees and operators nationwide were rightfully terrified at the prospect of losing this seasonal weekly event. Well, it has taken a long, long, time but at last they have all agreed to play nice (really we’ll take them just playing at all).
Here’s to hoping this NFL season is as good to Quick-Serve Pizza as it is to the fans.
